About this Resource Map

The DePaul Hardware Technology Resource Map is a governed inventory of hardware-related facilities, laboratories, centers, clinics, programs, courses, and the people who connect them. Pages are generated from YAML source files in the repository and synced to this site — not edited by hand in docs/.

What you will find here

Catalog Contents
Equipment Searchable equipment categories linked to resource pages
Curriculum DePaul catalog courses with documented facility relationships
People Named faculty, staff, and research contacts with links to resources, grants, and courses
Ownership units Unit-level indexes (CDM, CSH, external partners, etc.)

Grant records, internal audits, and prototype demo pages are maintained in the repository for institutional knowledge but are not listed in the public navigation.

Access status

Resource pages include an Access status section when classified:

Level Meaning
🟢 green Open or routine access for eligible users
🟡 yellow Negotiated, program-restricted, or appointment-based access
🔴 red Restricted; special authorization required
unknown Not yet classified from public evidence

Verification

Each resource carries a verification estimate:

Symbol Status Meaning
confirmed Strong public evidence (official site, catalog, or corroborated sources)
~ likely Probable from partial or indirect public evidence
? needs_review Documented but weak, stale, or conflicting
archived Superseded or retained only as a stable index ID

Summary lines on resource pages combine access and verification badges (for example 🟡 ✓).

People and courses

  • People pages list linked resources, grants, and courses when documented in the registry — they are relationship hubs, not faculty directory biographies.
  • Course pages (CUR-*) mirror the official DePaul catalog description plus documented links to facilities.

Source of truth

Published content is built from:

  • resources/ — resource, person, grant, and course markdown (generated or maintained)
  • data/*.yaml — access, verification, equipment, courses, people, grants
  • scripts/sync_docs.sh — regenerates pages and copies mirrors into docs/ for MkDocs

For field definitions, naming policy, and ID governance, see the Home page reference sections.

System health

Index build status, repository commit hash, and LLM configuration for Derived Views are on the System health page (served by the read-only Explore app).

Internal documentation

Implementation reports, refactor audits, graph prototypes, and ORS demo materials live under docs/archive/ and docs/reports/ in the Git repository. They are intentionally omitted from this site's navigation.
