Publication readiness review (v2)
Date: 2026-07-09
Assessment after People/Grants/Hypertext revisions (pre-commit).
Layer assessments
| Layer | Status | Justification |
|---|---|---|
| People | Ready (with refinement) | 123 relationship-centric PER pages; mostly public DePaul data; ORCID discovery report for manual apply |
| Grants | Do not publish as primary catalog | 922 administrative records; moved off top-level nav; internal index under Reports; public render redacts repo paths |
| Hypertext | Needs revision (incremental) | Core clusters work (CDM-023 ↔ PER-008 ↔ GRA-920); gap audit classifies remaining bare refs |
| Navigation | Ready | People tab retained; Grants tab removed; home stats show 682 public objects |
People layer
- Ready for public People index and PER pages after ORCID manual review.
- Run
discover_orcid.pyand apply verified/high proposals only. - See
person-page-quality-audit.mdfor missing emails/profiles.
Grant layer
- Do not publish as ORS-style public database.
- Retained in repo, graph, and hyperlink targets.
- Public GRA pages now omit
sources/inbox/...and pipeline metadata. - Pre-redaction exposure: 0/922 pages had inbox paths.
- Full visibility plan:
grant-publication-audit.md.
Hypertext layer
- Needs revision — not blocking People publication.
- Continue auto-linking category A gaps from
hypertext-gap-audit.md. - Leave category C (provenance) bare IDs unchanged.
Navigation layer
- Ready — Grants removed from top-level tabs.
- Option B adopted: Grants index under Reports → Grants registry (internal).
- GRA detail pages remain in site for resource→grant links (redacted content).
Recommended commit bundle
- People catalog + hypertext on facility pages
- Home stats scope fix + mkdocs nav change
- Grant generator redaction + audit reports
- Defer bulk ORCID
--applyuntil manual review of discovery table
